It's Membership renewal time!

The annual fee will remain at £50 again this year. However the EA membership has increased to £23, but this will still be included in your membership fee, so this is actually a reduction in club fees.

Squirrels membership has all the same great membership perks, as well as the benefits of being an England Athletics member.-

  • EA membership (£2 race discount)
  • Regular Track sessions
  • Discount code for retailers
  • Access to Social Events
  • Access to members FB group
  • Access to LRRL races

Every member needs to be registered with England Athletics (EA) which costs £23. This is paid by the club, to England Athletics from the £50 membership fee. We will be offering a split payment over April/May of £25 per month, to be paid before 5th of the month. Or you can also pay £50 as a single payment if you prefer (this is easier for us to administer). New members who join later in the year will pay the EA membership + a pro-rata amount based on when they join.

We also recognise that some members may have financial difficulties and may need support to continue running with the club. Please contact any of the committee members confidentially to discuss how the club can help with membership fees.

We also offer a (non running) social membership. We know that quite a few other clubs locally offer something similar. Social membership will cost £10 and provide the following benefits:

  • Access to the Squirrels Facebook Members Group, this means being able to join in weekend club social runs
  • Access to Club social nights
  • Ability to vote in club awards and club decisions.
  • Membership of the walking group

Social membership will not include club running nights. This is ideal for an individual who is injured, or a "friend" of the club who wishes to remain involved with the club. Membership can be upgraded to the full running membership at any time by paying the difference between full membership, on a pro rata basis (excluding any affiliation fees payable to England Athletics).

The new membership form is here! https://forms.gle/kFQyu5eYeFZhMYoj8

Please pay your membership into the Squirrels Bank account with "FEE" and your surname as the reference. You can find the bank account details on Facebook.

If you are also a member of another affiliated running club, then please advise if you would like Squirrels to be your first or second claim.

We will be asking you to read our Code of Conduct and confirm your agreement as part of the membership form. This is an EA requirement and protects you all, as members of the club.

We would also signpost you to the following policies which are located on the squirrels website.

  • Safeguarding policies
  • Inclusion policy
  • Data Protection Policy.

Junior Members (defined as a runner aged under 18) need to complete the separate Junior Membership form. They are free unless they wish to be EA registered. Please contact Sarah Leach if you want to register a junior member.

This information will be emailed to all members.

If you have any questions on the membership process, please contact Sarah Leach, Membership secretary .

Here's to a great 2026/2027 for Squirrels
