Membership - 2024
It's time to renew membership. Every member needs to be registered with England Athletics (EA) which costs £17. This is paid by the club, to England Athletics from the £50 membership fee.
We will be offering a split payment over Jan & Feb of £25 per month, to be paid before 5th of the month. Or you can also pay £50 as a single payment if you prefer (this is easier for us to administer)
As affiliation is a new process for everyone at the club, please bear with us in registering you with EA. England Athletics have confirmed that the club can affiliate with effect from 1/1/24, which also means we will need to wait for EA to allow access their systems. EA have suggested that this may take several days to arrange.
We will endeavour to complete registrations as quickly as possible, but we are all volunteers so ask you to be patient. Once you are affiliated as a member with EA you will receive the £2 discount in races.
This year we are also introducing a (non running) social membership for the first time. We know that quite a few other clubs locally offer something similar. Social membership will cost £10 and provide the following benefits
- Access to the Squirrels Facebook Members Group
- Access to Club social nights
- Ability to vote in club awards and club decisions.
Social membership will not include club running nights, or a Christmas present. It will be ideal for an individual who is injured, or a "friend" of the club who wishes to remain involved with the club.
Membership can be upgraded to the full running membership at any time by paying the difference between full membership, on a pro rata basis (excluding any affiliation fees payable to England Athletics). EA registrations will be actioned on a first come first served basis, once you have completed your membership form & we have received your payment.
